    Great quote and I agree with it completely. Did you see that last year Jeter was voted by the fans as the starting shortshop the American League All-Star Team, then he decided to skip it? Quite the snub to all those fans who voted for him. Willie Mays, who has typically avoided controversy, even spoke out about it, saying Jeter did quite the disservice to baseball fans in general.

    • Good to hear from you, Mark. It seems that there has been some controversy surrounding players with phantom injuries skipping the Mid Summer Classic for decades. Unfortunately it seems to have spun out of control to where players are inconvenienced by being one of the best among world class athletes. It’s unfortunate.
