#5 Visual Management

The #5 post of 2012 is a short one titled Visual Management in Your Car:

You may have noticed that I am a big fan of visual management.  As such, I got a good laugh out of this photo and wish that I had thought of it myself.  It’s clear, concise, easy to understand, and hard to miss at the point of use.  Apparently running out of gas is not an issue or there would be some additional labeling on the gas gauge as well.

What are your thoughts?  What do you like about this example?  What could be even better?  How can you use this example in your plant?
